Trusting God In The Wilderness

Isaiah 43:19 For I am about to do something new. See I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland. ( NLT)

Trust is when you have firm belief in the reliability or strength of someone or something and the wilderness is a place that is uncultivated, uninhabited and inhospitable. The wilderness is also a place where one may feel neglected, rejected or abandoned. When in the wilderness one may feel that life is just not fair. A great example of a wildered place is the desert. Usually deserts are uncomfortable and have extreme temperatures that fluctuate between day, night and seasons. Deserts have a precipitation deficiency meaning they lack rainfall and we know that without rain it is impossible for anything to grow. This is why no one lives in the desert/wilderness. They are only enjoyable for tourists and sight seers but absolutely nobody wants to make it their home or their place of final destination. Are you in the wilderness in this season of your life? Do you feel that you are in a drought and nothing is happening for you or at least not happening the way you wanted them to? Are you in the hot seat and in discomfort? Or are you in a broken place and feel that you will never be whole again? If so I encourage you to start trusting God today, not halfway but all of the way. I am learning , on my journey, in the wilderness that I have to trust God with my whole heart and with my whole life. It is the only way that I am going to survive! I don’t understand what’s going on and I am afraid but I know that I must trust him with everything that is within me and I advise you to do the same. When we are in discomfort, a broken place, the wilderness; we must allow God to take the lead so that he can guide us to a place of safety and ultimately victory. We have to allow him to be our GPS so that he can navigate us to purpose and to destiny. Well how do we do this? We can start by surrendering our will to his. By surrendering our plans for his plans. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to TRUST in the Lord with All of our hearts and lean not unto our own understanding but in all of our ways Submit to him and he will make our paths straight. So I challenge you today to submit to God’s will and allow him to be your compass and watch him lead you to a place of peace, joy and love.

Let Us Pray:

Heavenly Father we thank you and love you for all you have done. Your name is above all names. We ask that you will lead and guide us during this dark time in our lives. We pray that you will help us to completely trust you so that you can bring us to a place of rest and peace as we find our way to victory with you. Amen!!!!

Hi everyone. I'm Nekitta Sutton. I've experienced major disappointments, setbacks and losses in life. During those times I had to hold on to my faith and find strength to continue on. Through the trials and sufferings I realized that I was more than a conqueror, I was a survivor. I began to gain knowledge and grow as a person by activating my faith and reading God's word. My hopes are to encourage the masses so that you will be able to regain control over your life and start living again as well. It takes a lot of work and can sometimes be painful but I do know that it's possible and well worth it.
