Be Bold & Be Courageous

” Often times when God has given us a task to fulfill, something to carry out; we may become consumed with doubt. Consumed with worry and consumed with fear. We may think that there is no way I can do this. I do not have the confidence. I do not have the courage; however, I am learning on my spiritual journey that God will never give us more than we can handle, literally. He chooses specific people to perform specific tasks because he know that you can accomplish it. He know that you have everything you need on the inside of you to bring it to pass. “

I’m reminded of Moses as I think of a situation that required one to be bold and to be of good courage. Moses was taking care of his flock, out of know where one of God’s angels appeared to him in the midst of a burning bush. The Bible states that the bush was on fire but it was not consumed. I think it is safe to say that the image of the burning bush was a mirage to get Moses attention. See God knows what, how and when to get our attention. To bring us closer to him. To help us step into our purpose. God had a plan for Moses guys. There was something God needed Moses to do. There was something he wanted him to carry out. God had chose Moses for such a time as this. He chose him to be the person to approach Pharaoh and request that he let his people go. ( The Isrealites) Now like many of us Moses doubted his potential. He questioned God, why me? Why would Pharaoh listen to someone like me? Why would he take me serious? But God knew Moses had what it took and therefore made a promise to him. He promised that he would be with Moses every step of the way. COME ON SOMEBODY! God had made a covenant with Moses. He told him that if they ask who sent you just tell them ” I AM THE I AM”!! God had already went before Moses to ensure that things would go as planned. God had already made a way. He just needed one person, one vessel to be obedient to his command. And that person was Moses. Once Moses decided to trust God. Once he made the decision to walk by faith and not by sight, he was able to do a great work. He was able to lead the Isrealites out of Egypt into freedom, into their land of canaan. Into their land of joy. Into their land of peace. Into their land of abundance and prosperity. We have to get like Moses and begin to trust God and follow his lead so that we too can experience our land of canaan.

If you would like to read the whole story of how Moses freed the Isrealites through the guidance of God, you can check it out in the Book of Exodus!
