Faith Without Works

James 2: 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

As believers we often speak about having faith. We encourage other believers of the importance of having faith. That’s all good and is so necessary; however, I believe we must begin emphasizing the works part. We are suppose to have faith . I am a firm believer in activating our ‘Now Faith’ so that we can receive some of our blessings from God right now; however, James tells us in the Bible that faith without works is dead. That leads me to the question, How can I activate my now faith and believe God to fulfill his promises to me when I haven’t given him anything to work with? I have to step out of my comfort zone, release my fear of the unknown and believe that God has me covered with whatever I decide to pursue that is within his will for my life.  Hebrews 11:6  tells us that without faith it is impossible to please God. Well how can I show God that I trust him and that I do have faith in him? I am so glad that you ask! We have to start putting actions behind it. I know many of you have heard the saying ” Talk is cheap”. I believe God agrees. We can’t just say we have faith, we have to back it up. Walking by faith and not by sight produces our right now harvest, our eternal fruit which pleases God and brings him glory. So I encourage you as I encourage myself to begin taking action on the things God has placed within your heart. Step out on faith, now faith, mustard seed faith and begin to bring your goals, dreams and visions to life.

Matthews 7:7-8 Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be given unto you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds and to him who knocks it will be opened.

Matthew 17:20 If you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain ‘ move from here to there’ and it will move and nothing will be impossible for you.

Hi everyone. I'm Nekitta Sutton. I've experienced major disappointments, setbacks and losses in life. During those times I had to hold on to my faith and find strength to continue on. Through the trials and sufferings I realized that I was more than a conqueror, I was a survivor. I began to gain knowledge and grow as a person by activating my faith and reading God's word. My hopes are to encourage the masses so that you will be able to regain control over your life and start living again as well. It takes a lot of work and can sometimes be painful but I do know that it's possible and well worth it.

  1. Well said… Learning how to walk by faith & not by sight is a hard action to do but such a blessing in being able to give it all to God, trust He has already worked it out all we have to do is put action to it & walk it out & do what is physically necessary to obtain our blessings.

    1. Amen my darlingđź’– It’s extremely difficult at times. It’s a tough decision to make but I know that I want something different for my life so it’s time to start taking action and trust that God won’t let me/us fall.
