Embracing The New

When wanting God to do something new in your life you have to be open to recieve it. You have to be in the right position so that you can embrace it with open arms. We all love new things but we sometimes don’t want to do the work it takes to get those new things. For instance, some may want a new car but are you willing to work the extra hours so that you can pay for it. Some may want their own homes but are you ready to take on the responsibilities it takes to own your own home. Many of us, including myself, want a financial increase or a new economic status but show no control over the little bit that we have right now. In order for God to enlarge our territory, increase our finances, to make us the lender and not the borrowers we have to show him that we can handle what we already have. That is what I mean by being in the right position so that you are able to embrace the new.

Matthew 25:21 says ” Thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. I’m learning this myself. We have to be faithful over what we have. Appreciate the small things so that God can open the windows of heaven and pour us out a blessing that we want have room enough to recieve. Embracing the new can be scary and uncomfortable because we sometimes have to leave the familiar and enter into unfamiliar territory. This is when we have to lean and trust God like never before. We have to decrease ourselves and allow him to fully reign in our lives. It is then he can lead and guide our steps. Then he will help us to make sound choices and wise decisions. Then he will do a new thing and make a road in the wilderness. Come on ya’ll, lets embrace our NEW and get all of the things that God has promised us!!!!

Hi everyone. I'm Nekitta Sutton. I've experienced major disappointments, setbacks and losses in life. During those times I had to hold on to my faith and find strength to continue on. Through the trials and sufferings I realized that I was more than a conqueror, I was a survivor. I began to gain knowledge and grow as a person by activating my faith and reading God's word. My hopes are to encourage the masses so that you will be able to regain control over your life and start living again as well. It takes a lot of work and can sometimes be painful but I do know that it's possible and well worth it.
